Celebrating 50 years of Messer in the UK.

Our Current Premises at Dudley, Cramlington

Back in June 1960 Messer was launched into the UK by a Gentlemen called Eric Humphreys, the original location was in Mr Humphreys house based in South London. Back then Messer’s main business area was service support to the UK shipyards. Later on in 1960 Messer moved into its first business location which was in Knights Hill, West Norwood, South London were we started to manufacture small cutting machines such as the Quicky, which is still available today as a current model.

In 1973 the business moved to the North East where it is still located today, its first North East location was in Seaton Delaval where we had our main office and demonstration area, just down the road in New Hartley was our workshop and stores.

Then in 1985 Messer moved again to larger premises in Cramlington, which brought the offices, demonstration hall, workshops and stores all under one roof.

Finally in 2004 we moved to our new purpose built factory unit in Dudley, Cramlington, where we are still currently situated. Our factory unit still incorporates all working areas under one roof.

Messer has had an eventful 50 years with a lot of moving around (for the better) and here's looking forward to our next 50 years and more. We would like to thank all of our customers for their support and we look forward to continually working together with you all in the future.

To celebrate our 50th anniversary we currently have a number of special offers available - why not give us a call and find out how we can help your business today.
